30+ Years of Experience

Atomic Fishing Charters founded in August 2020 by Captain Anthony Cubbage.

Atomic Fishing Charters was born of two passions. First was and absolute love of the outdoors, Captain Anthony can't get enough of the outside life. Second was a deep engrained desire to serve others.

Our Mission is to provide you with the best service possible to have a safe & successful adventure on Virginia's beautiful waterways.

Fleet

The Fleet

Currently our fleet only consists of Fat Man,  Little Boy was an amazing vessel but we had to grow

Little Boy

Little Boy was a 2015 Excel Boats 1860 Viper Side Console.  We loved the versatility of this vessel.  Little Boy could fish with the best of them. It wasn't the fastest but could tread where others fear to go.  Little Boy was retired in 2021 and found a new home in spring of 2022.

Fat Man

Fat Man is a 2022 Excel Boats Bay Pro 230. This larger vessel has expanded our versatility even further.  Fat Man has a maximum capacity of seven customers for Rod & Reel or six for Bowfishing.  Fat man boasts a 250 horsepower Suzuki Four Stroke, Bobs Machine Shop hydraulic jack plate, and a MinnKota Ulterra 36v trolling motor. Pair all of that with our modular setup which can switch from Rod & Reel to Bowfishing and you have the most adaptable fishing setup on the water. The Semi V bottom hull also softens the ride.

 Morinda Williams Social Media Director/Deckhand

Born and raised in Virginia, Morinda Williams met her husband who taught her how to hunt and fish as an adult. She has performed extensive research on the basics of hunting and fishing as well as jumping at the opportunities to put these skills to use all over North America.  Morinda’s professional career has prepared her for mentoring up and coming individuals and she regularly works with women’s outdoor organizations encouraging women to venture into the great outdoors at any stage in life.

Over the years, and across several state lines, she has had countless opportunities to grow her passion of capturing moments through photography, and sharing it on social media. She enjoys documenting priceless memories for all to share.

As an archery hunter, she was intrigued by the idea of bowfishing. After booking a trip with Captain Anthony, she adapted quickly to the sport, and enjoyed it so much that she wanted to share it with the world.

US Coast Gaurd Licensed Master Captain with 26 years of experience navigating inland waterways, lakes & rivers. Captain Cubbage also brings 30+ years of fishing experience all over this great nation for just about every freshwater species in North America

Anthony has been fishing all over the world since he was 5 years old.  He has experience fishing many species - however, his favorite rod and reel catch is Blue Catfish, and he absolutely loves the sport of Bow Fishing. He was retired from the US Air Force in 2016 and immediately began working for the Missouri Conservation Department.  When he moved to Virginia in 2019  he started Volunteering as Pro Staff for The Fallen Outdoors, Team Virginia, offering no cost fishing adventures for veterans.  It was during this service that he discovered what he wanted his second career to be.  He wanted to be a Vetreprenuer (a Military Veteran Entrepreneur).
